Our read
The Flex-M2 keeps the Flex-M’s price, dual SIMs and 90 ft claims, and moves to a newer LTE Cat 1bis modem, 1080p video with sound and a USB-C port. Spypoint’s certification sheet lists two possible modems: Quectel’s EG915Q-NA or an Eagle Wireless module. The Quectel version has the widest band list of any camera here, including Band 71 and Band 14.
Spypoint claims up to 12 months on its LIT-22 rechargeable pack. We haven’t found an independent test of the M2 yet; the original Flex-M managed 3.3 months on AAs in TrailCamPro’s model.
Bottom line: Our budget pick if you’re buying new: the free plan and a newer modem for $59.99. Buy it with a LIT-22 if you can.
