Cell cam plan costs Every tier and what it adds up to
Spypoint is the only brand here with a free tier (100 photos a month). Tactacam has the cheapest paid tier at $5 a month and discounts extra cameras. Moultrie requires a paid plan on every cellular camera, from $8.99 a month billed yearly. Browning's Strike Force plans are monthly and per camera.
Plan fees are the part of a cell cam that keeps costing money, and they often decide which camera is the better buy. Threads like Cell camera subscription and Best and Cheapest Cellular Cameras on r/trailcam ask the same thing: what will two or three cameras cost to run? The calculator answers that from the makers’ own price lists, and the tables below show every tier.

How We Price Plans
All prices are each maker’s published US list prices on October 21, 2026, taken from the plan pages linked under each table. “Billed yearly” is the one-time yearly charge; we show the monthly equivalent in brackets. Tactacam marks its Xtra add-on pricing as limited-time, and Spypoint’s Insiders Club fee differs between two of its own pages ($99.99 on a May 2026 blog post, $119.99 on its plan listing), so check those before you buy. Taxes, add-on packs and promotions aren’t included. See our methodology.
Common questions
Which cell cam has the cheapest plan?
Spypoint, because its Free tier costs nothing for 100 photos a month. The cheapest paid tier is Tactacam’s Starter at $5 a month or $55 a year for 250 photos, with Spypoint’s Basic at $5 a month or $48 a year close behind. Moultrie starts at $9.99 a month, or $8.99 a month billed yearly.
Can I put several cameras on one plan?
Not as a shared pool at these four brands, but two discount extra cameras. Tactacam charges $5, $7.50 or $12 a month for each extra camera depending on tier, and Moultrie’s Pro Series adds cameras at $7.99 a month each. Spypoint sells one plan per camera, and Browning says subscription data is per camera and not shared.
Do I need unlimited if I get a lot of false triggers?
Unlimited stops the photo count from running out, but it costs $13 to $16.99 a month per camera billed monthly ($10 to $12.99 billed yearly). Fixing the cause, such as moving the camera off waving branches or aiming it away from the sun, is cheaper. Check the tier steps too: on Moultrie, Standard plus one 500-image add-on ($14.98) still costs less than Unlimited ($16.99) up to 1,500 images.
Is a yearly plan worth it?
If you’ll run the camera most of the year, yes. Yearly billing saves 10% on Moultrie Standard and up to 33% on Spypoint Premium. If you only run cameras in season, a monthly plan you pause may cost less; check each brand’s pause and cancellation terms in its app.
